We are almost finished planting all of our crops for the 2017 Summer season, and we are excited to get the summer under way! New this season, you’ll see some neat new crops, including bok choy, okra, and snow peas, and the Farmer’s Club volunteers will work closely with the Lemberg staff at their garden in exchange for some produce to supplement CSA shares, donations, and volunteer bonuses.
If you do come volunteer, or if you are a member of the CSA, expect rhubarb, radishes, baby greens, herbs, and more towards the beginning of the month, and swiss chard, snap peas, and strawberries within a few weeks.
For those interested in volunteering, open volunteer hours are Mondays 9-12 and 2-6 and Wednesdays 9-11. Feel free to drop by whenever and for however long. When there are additional hours or changes in hours, updates will be posted on the Brandeis Farmer’s Club Facebook page and sent to the Farmer’s club listserve.
